Privacy policy
Effective October 26, 2026
’bout (“we,” “us”) is building live chat for TV and sports. This policy covers bout.chat, including our early-access waitlist. We’ll update it before the ’bout app launches.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
- Optional answers: what you want to chat about, and anything you type in “Other.”
- How you found us: a short tag from the link you used (for example, “tiktok”).
- Your approximate country, worked out from your connection, and the time you signed up.
- Your IP address, held for about 10 minutes only, to block spam and repeated sign-ups. It isn’t saved with your email.
We don’t use advertising cookies or third-party trackers on this site.
How we use it
To invite you to try ’bout, send you updates about ’bout, and understand which shows, sports, and links bring people in. We don’t sell your information or share it with advertisers.
Who stores it
The waitlist is stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider, which processes it on our behalf. If we later use an email service to send updates, it will handle your email address only to send our messages.
Your choices
- Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
- To see, correct, or delete your information, email [email protected]. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Do Not Track
We don’t track you across other websites, so we treat every visit the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Children
’bout is for people 13 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13; if we learn we have, we’ll delete it.
Security
Access to the waitlist is limited and password-protected. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep only what we need.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell people on the waitlist by email.
